CBC TELEVISION, CTV AND GLOBAL TELEVISION JOIN FORCES TO SUPPORT HAITIAN RELIEF EFFORTS
Canadian broadcasters collaborate to produce CANADA FOR HAITI special, followed by MTV’s HOPE FOR HAITI NOW, Friday, Jan. 22
Canada’s television networks have united in their support for Haiti as it struggles under the crippling devastation of last weeks earthquake. CBC Television, CTV and Global Television will be collaborating to produce CANADA FOR HAITI, a one-hour, commercial-free special leading up to HOPE FOR HAITI NOW, broadcasting live on Friday, Jan. 22 at 7 p.m. ET/PT (8 p.m. AT).
Headlined by all-Canadian tripleheader: Montreal at Ottawa, Vancouver at Toronto and Edmonton at Calgary
Canada’s hockey holiday is just around the corner! TIM HORTONS HOCKEY DAY IN CANADA raises the curtain on its 10th annual broadcast, Saturday, Jan. 30, at 12 noon ET. Ron MacLean hosts live from the William Allman Arena in Stratford, Ont., with Don Cherry, Scott Morrison, Cassie Campbell-Pascall, Jeff Marek, Dick Irvin and Wendel Clark.
