Social media are online interactive technologies which enable the generation or sharing/reribution of ideas, professions, life interests, and many more types of expression through virtual communities and online networks. Social media platforms include blogs, micro-blogging sites, online communities, social networking sites, video sites, and social media sites. Social media is also a part of the Web.0 technologies. With this, online communities can develop and have their own personalities, which they can easily reflect to others in the form of digital and audio content, images, and videos.

There are six types of media networking which are categorized under social media. These are visual social media, sound social media, text/video social media, social news/entertainment, collective network and specific communities. Each type of media has its own features and uses, however, these are commonly grouped into six general categories. These are networking, advertising, business, games, information and Knowledge delivery, and search engine/content. Each group has specific functions and features, which will be discussed further in the subsequent sections.

Social media networking refers to the promotion of brands, products, services, and events through the use of social media channels such as blogs, micro-blogging sites, and apps. These networks increase and strengthen connections among organizations and individuals for the purpose of building visibility and trust, as well as increasing brand awareness. Social media marketing is also known as the SMO. It is a combination of various forms of advertising that aim to enhance brand awareness, enhance the company’s reputation, and build customer loyalty.

One of the first social media sites, Facebook was launched by the company “Facebook Inc.” in the year 2021. At that time, it had only around 600 million active users, making it one of the earliest success stories of the web. Today, it is one of the biggest social network sites in existence with around 1.6 billion active users. This achievement is attributed to the fact that Facebook provided entrepreneurs with a platform for building customer loyalty and establishing a strong online presence.

Another successful example is Twitter, which was launched by the digital marketing company Tweetdeck in 2021. The platform allows people to share short text messages or sentences with the help of an SMS-to-Twitter service. Twitter provides a platform for businesses to engage with their customers in a more personal way, through real-time marketing and customer feedback.

SMO is very much related to search engine optimization and social media marketing, as both use social platforms as an effective means of advertising. On the one hand, search engines can be used to promote a brand using different keywords and keyword phrases. On the other hand, SMO enables a company to use social media as an effective platform for online marketing. These methods allow businesses to reach out to a larger audience through the use of highly visible platforms.

These channels allow people to engage with the brands and products on a deeper level. It also helps them in creating a positive image about the brand. However, there are different types of SMO that are being used today. For example, video marketing is one of the most prominent forms being used by many businesses today. In fact, video marketing has emerged as one of the best ways for generating traffic to the business websites.

Online videos are a perfect medium for online video sharing. Unlike other forms of media sharing, such as blogs, SMM also allows a user to upload different types of videos related to his or her business. There are different types of video hosting services available online. Many of them allow uploading and sharing of short films, tutorials and live videos. However, before you start using any of these media channels, it is important to select a platform that can be easily used and accessed by a large number of users.
